This Theme centers around networking with other moms in proteomics careers to exchange ideas, discuss challenges, and develop a community.

Challenges:

• A lack of mothers in leadership positions is a barrier to providing role models
• Integration of professional and personal lines, especially during the pandemic

Suggestions:

• Joining initiatives (e.g., Moms in Proteomics, Females in Mass Spectrometry)
• Attending events and workshops (e.g., Women in Science: Development, Outreach, and Mentoring [WISDOM])
• Engaging in conversations with peers and sharing ideas (e.g., coffee hour, seminars)
• Encouraging and supporting mothers (e.g., award nominations)
